I'm 43 and have had a VW as my daily since I was 16. When I was younger I dreamed how great it'd be to have a daily with cold A/C in the summer and good heat in the winter...it never happened. Now that I'm older, my philosophy has changed. Driving my Aircooled has become an exercise in endurance that I don't mind anymore, I look forward to the adventure of driving it in all kinds of weather...everyday. My focus is on "Vintage" VW's, period correct speed equipment, and parts hoarding...duh. I drive a green 67 tin-top westy every day, if ya see me, give a honk. Thanks, and I look forward to my new roll as Vice President and getting to know everyone more.

The Treasure will be responsible for filing the IRS 990n on May 1st of each year to keep the tax exempt status of the club. I got the VW "Bug" when I got my first car 74 bug when I was 13 with my lawn mowing money. I slammed it to the ground using 3 50lb bags of cement under the front hood.   Grew up around the VW Classic & Jamboree in SoCal.  My heart lies in the type 3's for their roomy feeling as well as their ride comfort.  I am into custom rides but appreciate a stock resto too.  The biggest reason why I like to be part of Mid-Columbia VW Club is to travel to VW Shows in the NW with other show cars from our area and hopefully bring some trophies home for the club.  I also am committed to putting forth the effort as Show Coordinator of our own show Dubtoberfest for years to come.
